2 circus artists. 10 hats. 1 ladder. 2 songs. It all begins when everyone has arrived. Two jugglers come together, creating more than what they could create on their own.
The movement, the juggling, the rise and fall of the hats. Together it takes on a language of its own. Turning juggling technique into human interactions enables moments of stillness, humour, and gripping excitement. More hats in the air, less feet on the ground. A rope circle creating a space to share a moment in and around.
Ezra Weill
Born in Seattle, Washington, Ezra grew up performing street shows at local festivals with his sister. In 2015, Ezra graduated from l’Ecole Nationale de Cirque (CA) with a degree in aerial rope and hat juggling. Inspired by his love of juggling, Ezra has combined hat manipulation with his work on aerial rope to create a unique and original performance. He has gone on to explore different avenues of performing circus from small cabarets to huge circus buildings, both solo acts and collaborating in groups from South America to Europe.
Fueled by his interest in music and dance as well as further exploring his circus disciplines. Ezra is always looking to research how these different arts forms can coexist together on stage in his work with Zirkus Fahraway (CH), and Hats 2 Heads (BE), as well as other projects.
Aude Cattin
Born in Switzerland, Aude grew up playing music, riding horses and performing with friends in a little circus for children. As a teenager she moved to France to study at the National Circus School of Châtellerault. She continued her pursuit of a professional circus education at the Circus School of Quebec, in Canada. Since her graduation in 2015, she has been performing with a variety of companies all over the world. She has performed in theatres, big tops, schools, even refugee camps and jails. She seeks to connect on a human level with the people she meets along the way and holds these moments dear to her heart.
